Without a doubt I would miss Chinese traditional markets if they disappeared. I do worry that the supermarket might replace these charming open air markets.

Fresh Chickens

I just can’t bring myself to buy chicken this way. It is fresher, but watching the seller butcher it would be too much for me.

Buying Vegetables

In the morning it’s a good time to go out and buy some vegetables from the vendors before the day gets too hot.

It’s been 30+ degrees in Jinan.

There used to be lots of vendors on this corner. They’ve been shooed away in forced into a fancier marketplace with higher rent.
