January CDP Theme Day
Photo(s) of the Year
Happy New Year!
As is the tradition with City Daily Photo, bloggers are challenged to post based on a theme. In January our theme has been “Photo of the Year.” On the CDP website I saw one photographer comment that he was going to make a collage and I thought “great idea” (and easier). So I’ve chosen a few photos of new discoveries or experiences that were particular to 2014.
If you want to see more photos from the CDP community, click here. There are great photos from all over the world.
Bridge
Woven
Long Line
What is inside? The website doesn’t say, but there’s a line to get inside the Shandong Provincial Museum that zigzags along the front and then trails off two thirds of the way up to the street!
I guess it would take two hours or more to get inside.
What can this be?
China Daily reported that the Shandong Provincial Museum has a new permanent exhibit of taxidermies of African animals donated by American philanthropist Kenneth Behring.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Achievement
This is a crown that an ancient Chinese noble would wear. If scaling the ladder of success not an achievement, I don’t know what one is. T hink of all the plots and schemes one had to dodge to survive.

November Theme Day: Landmark

This month’s theme for City Daily Photo bloggers is Landmark. The tea pot above marks the front of Jinan’s massive tea market.

Travel Theme: Simplify

Ailsa of Where’s My Backpack invites bloggers to post travel photos each week. This time she’s given us “Simplify” for a theme because the first week of August is Simplify Your Life Week. Now this is more of an escape than a life-changing simplification, but a day in Zhujiayu, just outside of Jinan is an idyllic experience.

Travel Theme: Meeting Place
Ailsa of Where’s My Backpack invites bloggers to post travel photos each week. This time she’s given us “Meeting Places” for a theme. One of the conspicuous sites to meet in Jinan is Quancheng Square, by the big blue sculpture.
