March Theme Day: Where I belong
In March City Daily Photo bloggers are asked to ponder and post based on “Where do you belong”?
My first answer would be a coffee house, but that was last month’s prompt so I’ll answer with “in a traditional market exploring and taking photos.”

March’s theme is Aging. I could probably follow this prompt all month in China finding loads of aspects on the theme. Here’s one: a painting at the Jinan Art Museum.

What Would You Miss?
February’s theme day for City Daily Photo bloggers is: What Would You Miss?
Without a doubt I would miss Chinese traditional markets if they disappeared. I do worry that the supermarket might replace these charming open air markets.

As is the tradition with City Daily Photo, bloggers are challenged to post based on a theme. In January our theme has been “Photo of the Year.” On the CDP website I saw one photographer comment that he was going to make a collage and I thought “great idea” (and easier). So I’ve chosen a few photos of new discoveries or experiences that were particular to 2014.

December Theme Day: Worker
December’s theme at City Daily Photo is worker. I know serving the lunch crowd outside the campus is hard work.

This month’s theme for City Daily Photo bloggers is Landmark. The tea pot above marks the front of Jinan’s massive tea market.

October Theme Day: Movement
City Daily Photo’s October theme is Movement, which can be tricky to photograph. Today we saw a small group of musicians today in a park. This flutist shows movement, maybe not as much as an athlete or dancer, but it counts.
