East Train Station

Now that on the west side of town there’s a sleek, new station few people use this older one. It only serves local and semi-local trains. No high speed trains come here and more and more those are the trains most people take. Still if you want to go off the beaten track you’ve got to take a slower train.

As is the tradition with City Daily Photo, bloggers are challenged to post based on a theme. In January our theme has been “Photo of the Year.” On the CDP website I saw one photographer comment that he was going to make a collage and I thought “great idea” (and easier). New Café

Just over the closest bridge. I’d call it walking distance, but students are mostly likely to disagree. Good atmosphere, interesting drinks but it takes some patience. Expect to have to have them remake a drink so it’s actually hot, etc.

CDP Theme: Landmark, the Sequel

Indian Restaurant

Here’s the main room of an Indian restaurant we tried. It looks empty because we went for a rather late lunch i.e. 2pm (due to traffic problems in the city). The food was quite good. I’d have taken pictures but I was so hungry that that slipped my mind. Next time I shall.
