Travel Theme: Purple

Fountain-Light Show

Fountain-Light Show

This week Ailsa’s challenging bloggers to share photos that are purple, my favorite color. Here’s one of the light show downtown. It’s one of the highlights of life in Jinan. All ages come by to enjoy the music, lights and dancing water.

City Symbol, at Night

Not far from DaMing Lake. They’re restoring this area.

Mill? Wheel?

I’m not sure of the purpose of this wheel, but it adds atmosphere.

I walk around this spring east of Daming Lake about three times a week. So peaceful, yet energizing.

A Good Day for a Swim

Here’s another way to celebrate summer, though these guys swim most of the year.

July Theme Day: Celebrating Summer

This month’s City Daily Photo prompt is celebrating summer. This summer the World Cup predominates. Several malls, like Parc 66, have big displays for the World Cup.

How or what do you celebrate in summer? (Or if you’re in the southern hemisphere, winter?)

To see more summer celebrations, check out City Daily Photo.

Floating By

A tourist boat on the canals of Jinan’s springs. I can’t believe I still haven’t been on one yet.

Big Girl

A big inflated girl in front of the new mall. Sure got my attention

Evening Exercise

Every night you’ll find people exercising downtown. It’s one of the things I love about China.

Tea & Cake

This apricot caramel cake was superb. From the Hyatt Jinan.
